Morning was inspired by the sound of a creaking gate. In the early morning hours, Hayden Baptiste along with collaborator Ben Bélanger were working on a film set and began recording the ominous sounds generated by the opening and closing of a heavy gate into an iPhone. They experimented and delighted over mangled wrought iron drones, playing with the speed of the gate closure and the placement of the phone’s mic. The recordings were then imported into Reason and edited. Morning is more of that dark sci-fi shit. No synths were used in the making of this track. The Morning EP features a remix by The Stunt Man.
